Jay is an active sportsman. He hunts wildlife of the ARK LA TEX, as well as the larger animals of the Northwest. He has served his community as chairman of wildlife banquets such as Ducks Unlimited and National Wild Turkey Federation and president of the Shreveport Bossier Retriever Club. He is also a Louisiana Hunter Safety Instructor.

Jay graduated from Springhill High School and attended college at Southern Arkansas University. He and his wife Karen reside in Springhill, LA. He has 2 boys, Kyle and Jake.

Jays past business interest has been in heavy construction, trucking, real estate management, and pet food distribution. He has served his community as board member to the Chamber of Commerce and Citizen National Bank.

His natural love of the land, coupled with his understanding of relationships and banking, give him an ideal background to represent his clients. He has also worked with State Agencies and the Soil Conservation on various land uses. He knows how to get the best value for your land.

Jody Woodard - Salesperson

Jody is a longtime outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing with family and friends and raising cattle. He is a native of Webster Parish and grew up in Bossier Parish. After graduating from Airline High School in Bossier City, he attended Louisiana Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. He has practiced forestry for over 25 years, in both timber management and logging. This experience and the contacts he has made in the timber business will help him find the right person to purchase your property or help you find the property of your dreams.

Jody lives in Heflin, LA with his wife Carrie. He has two sons and one grandson. He serves on the Board of Directors for Claiborne Electric Co-op and the Louisiana Loggers Association.

We welcome Jake Hearnsberger to the Piney Woods team!

After graduating from Springhill High School, he attended Antonelli College where he received an associate degree in graphic design. While attending school and thereafter, he performed freelance graphic design, website development, and database programming for various companies as well as built his own internet-based equipment parts business distributing parts across the U.S. In 2009, Jake joined Extreme Dog Fuel, LLC, a private label line of dog and cat food distributed in Bass Pro Shops, Academy Sports, Brookshire's Grocery, and feed stores throughout the South-Central US, as marketing manager and remained there until its sale. From 2011-2023, Jake held the role of comptroller and IT manager at a wholesale food distribution business that delivers goods over 250 miles and has gross sales in excess of $45 million.

Jake and his wife Kristin live in Springhill and have one daughter, Avery, and son, John Preston. In addition to office management and selling real estate, Jake holds a commercial pilot license. He enjoys flying and spending time with family.

Denny McMullan - Associate

Denny McMullen has been a licensed real estate broker in Louisiana and Arkansas since 1985. Born and raised in Springhill, Denny officially began working at McMullan Realty after he graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics.

Denny served three terms on the Springhill City Council and was instrumental in starting the Springhill Main Street program. Denny currently serves on the Springhill Main Street Board as well as the Downtown Historic District Board. Denny also serves on the Board of Directors of the Fuller Center for housing organization.
